We understand that not everybody knows what a
non-ferrous metal
is. Not to worry, if you're uncertain, give us a call. We are here to help.
Non-ferrous metals are metals that do not contain any amount of iron, therefore do not corrode when exposed to oxygen, and do not have magnetic qualities. A simple way to check if the metal is non-ferrous is to hold a magnet to it.

If you have metals that you think are non-ferrous and you wish to dispose of them, come to Douglas & Tucker. See the location map on our contact us page.
Although, we do not buy ferrous metals such as cast iron and steel, we have a container outside our premises for customers who wish to recycle ferrous items.
